Laura is in her fifth year of service at Student-Athlete Support Services.  As the Senior Learning Specialist, she oversees the Learning Assistant program and works with student-athletes on academic skills and strategies.  She is also the liaison to the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities Office (RCPD), coordinating academic accommodations for student-athletes who qualify.

Prior to joining SASS as a Learning Specialist, she served as an academic mentor at Student-Athlete Support Services; taught undergraduate and graduate courses in the department of Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Special Education in the College of Education at MSU; and worked as a technology specialist in a K-8 school district in Canton, MI.

Laura earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Michigan State University.  She has also earned Masters’ degrees in Education and Educational Technology from MSU.
