On April 17th at Jenison Fieldhouse the 2008 Spartan Student-Athlete Showdowntook place. With a total of 9 teams participating the event was able to raise $3,559.24 for the Children's Miracle Network.

Teams that competed were Women's Basketball, Field Hockey, Women's Swimming, Men's Basketball, Volleyball, Rowing, Football, Gymnastics and Wrestling.
