March is Reading Month

Throughout the month of March, student-athletes have volunteered for multiple reading events at elementary schools in the greater-Lansing area. The student-athletes’ participation helps celebrate and promote the national event of “March is Reading Month”. 
Student-athletes have had the opportunity to read books, answer questions, and play reading games with the children; while ultimately serving as positive role-models and examples about the importance of working hard in school. So far throughout the month of March, 18 Spartans have volunteered their time to read as we have traveled to 7 different elementary schools in the area.
