Daune Rensing is in her fifth year with Student-Athlete Support Services. She is the academic coordinator for gymnastics, softball, women’s soccer, men’s tennis and wrestling. She also oversees the Student-Athlete Support Services tutorial program. Rensing was an assistant volleyball coach for seven years, four of which she spent at Michigan State. Prior to Michigan State, she coached at Georgetown University and played professional volleyball in Switzerland and Italy. Rensing played college volleyball at the University of Maryland and was named the Atlantic Coast Conference player of the year. She earned her bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Maryland and her masters degree in sports administration from Michigan State University.
Daune is married to head men’s soccer coach, Damon Rensing, and has two children. Anna Hanley was born on July 9, 2006 and Drew Alexander was born on January 27, 2008.
